The RRTC will be working this coming Saturday, October 22 from 9 a.m. to about 2 p.m.
We are meeting at the small store on the right as you go toward Clear Creek. Parking is limited at the Rt 1274 Trailhead so we want to consolidate our vehicles etc in order to limit our exposure along the road there.
Please dress for the weather, bring water and snack and if you have clearing and brushing tools like a hand weed wacker, pruning shearers etc it would be helpful.
Work is moderately strenuous. Hope to see you there. _________________ Check us out at sheltoweetrace.twitter.com and on facebook in the hiking groups under The Sheltowee Trace. I'm not familiar with this location that we are meeting at. Can you give me some directions? |

For those who are joining us tomorrow morning, we will be working the section shown on map # 26 of the downloadable maps. The trail is in the purple enclosed area just to the right of Halfway branch. We will be working from KY 1274(Old Beaver Rd) to the pipeline from what I understand.
Bring your tool of choice like pruning shears, loppers, small pruning saw, hand or power weed whacker, mattock, bow rake or s sturdy hoe.
Dress for the weather and bring water and snack or other easily carried food.
As usual we will be working 4 to 6 hours.
I have trail markers, nails and a hammer for someone who would like to put up trail markers as needed.
Please note the meeting place in the OP above. KY 1274 is far too narrow to park cars on. |
