Thanx guys for the input. I was in Philip Galls and they had a ST guide book by Johnny Molloy called "Day and overnight Hikes" "Kentucky's
Sheltowee Trace". It's really good. ($14.95) Manasha Ridge press, Birmingham, AL.
Details everything you could want to know about day hiking the Trace and another whole section on thru-hiking.
It also has decent maps and info on the parks you trek thru, directions to each trailhead and sights a long the way.
Neat! I've already read the whole thing from cover to cover. Incredible
attention to datails like where there is water, good camp sites at the mileage way-points, good points and bad, like the parts that are open to atv's and paved road crossings.
I may still get the other book as I like having lots of info, plus I just like having books on hiking and camping.
Actually I just like having books, lol.
See ya on the trail.

Thanks for getting a membership all the money goes towards taking care of the trail. Also we have volunteer trail crew that get's together and does needed work on the trail as well, and they are a great group of people. You should come out and meet some of the crew sometime and bring someone with as well if you can. Just look for postings on here and we have a group on facebook as well. Look forward to meeting you. _________________ Thanks to the interstate highway system,
