The Sheltowee Trace Association has a goal this year of 2000 hours of volunteer time for the Sheltowee Trace. Volunteering not only helps you stay fit, connected to the Trail, but also helps us in 2012 as we apply for grants that require a "in-kind" match. Volunteer hours the previous year are sort of collateral and say the organization can gather the volunteer support for future projects.
At this point in time - half the year gone, with the help of our great volunteers we have posted over 800 hours of volunteer service to the DBNF through the STA - with over 60 volunteers having helped so far. Please help us meet our goal by giving 8 hours this year to help maintain the Sheltowee Trace. We need help up and down the trail. Send an email to director@sheltoweeetrace.org or respond here. We can find work for you tomorrow. Thanks again for all the help. _________________ Check us out at sheltoweetrace.twitter.com and on facebook in the hiking groups under The Sheltowee Trace.
