I am hoping to travel some of the Sheltowee on horseback before years end. I plan to start at the Northern Terminus and head toward Cave Run Lake getting as far as I can in 2 to 3 days ride. Plan on camping in the woods from start to finish. Looking for info on the trails on what Is passable by horse and what is not. Would love to hear from those few who have already traveled the Trace by horse before. From research I have done so far Sec.3 and Sec. 8 have swinging bridges and may be closed to horses. Could one just cross the creek to get to the other side? The rules and common sense will be my guides on this journey. Are any parts of these sections unnavigable by horseback? Any help would be much appreciated!
