Mapping the Sheltowee

The Sheltowee Trace Association 2013 Trace Conference will be September 28th from 9 until 5 at the Morehead Conference Center in Morehead, Ky. Registration will begin shortly.

Bear experts will be on hand to brief attendees on the growing bear population in the Big South Fork. We will also have on hand speakers on a variety of subjects like "Surviving the First 24 Hours - What to Do if You Find Yourself Lost", or "Around the World in 60 Minutes featuring Three Reports on Adventures to Machu Pachu, the A.T., and the Grand Tetons.

There will be a break out block for Mountain Biking on the Trace where we will layout how Bikers can ride the entire Trace, horseback riders, and Adventure Racing secrets. We'll preview our upcoming 36 Hour Hiker Challenge, give reports on the progress with trail relocation and recognize the efforts of our trail volunteers and pioneers.

Here is a look at the program for this years conference. Help us plan for a big celebration of the Trace's 35th Anniversary in June 2014. Help us make sure the Trace is there for 35 more years. Join us on September 27 and 28 or just on Saturday.

Alas, I am not going to be able to make it!

I will be at the Sheltowee Challenge 50k the next weekend. Hope to make the conference in 2014!

Thanks for sharing the news about Sheltowee Trace Association 2013. I was well planned to be the part of this conference but due to the health issues I missed the chance. The article was very informative to know more about the conference.
