TOYOTA 100 CARS FOR GOOD PROGRAM
Toyota to Donate Vehicles to Local Nonprofit Organizations Based on Public Votes
(TOLLESBORO, KY) – SEPTEMBER 9, 2013 – Tollesboro Kentucky based organization; The Sheltowee Trace Association is one of 250 finalists in Toyota’s 100 Cars for Good program, which will award vehicles to 100 nonprofit organizations based on votes from the public beginning October 1, 2013.
Toyota’s 100 Cars for Good program will showcase five nonprofit organizations each day for 50 days at Facebook.com/Toyota. Visitors to the page will receive two votes each day to select two separate winning organizations they feel are most deserving of new Toyota vehicles. The Sheltowee Trace Association will be one of the five organizations highlighted for the vote on November 19th.
Kentuckians are encouraged to support The Sheltowee Trace Association in their quest for a new Toyota Sienna van. If The Sheltowee Trace Association receives the most votes and is awarded the vehicle, it will be used to transport volunteers to and from the trail for crew maintenance activities and support hikers, bikers and trail riders along the 307 mile Sheltowee Trace National Recreation Trail.

Founded in 2009, The Sheltowee Trace Association is a 501c(3) nonprofit formed to protect, preserve and promote the Sheltowee Trace National Recreational Trail as a significant national resource for the enjoyment of hikers, bikers, and horseback riders, and for the value that wild and scenic lands provide to all people. Since its founding, The STA has partnered with The U.S. Forest Service, National Parks and State Parks to educate the public on this national resource, assist in the maintenance and development of the trail, and organize adventure activities to promote the use of Kentucky’s Long Trail – The Sheltowee Trace.
