The Sheltowee Trace has been rerouted where it comes out at the south end of the footbridge into the picnic area.
Coming down the hill into Clear Creek heading north, the trail comes out at the wooden railing leading to the bridge. There is water and vault toilet facilities at the picnic area but no camping. If you want to camp at the Clear Creek Campground, you will need to follow the gravel road out of the picnic area to the main road, turn right and follow the road about 1/4 mile to the campground. Limited facilities there but nice campsites.
Coming south on the Sheltowee Trace, you will follow the cleared trail to the footbridge and the new fence will direct you to the reroute, up the hillside to where the trail joins the current trail.
Thanks to the Ridge Runner Trail Crew for giving their time to get this reroute done.
