This Saturday, at the STA Conference Volunteer Recognition Luncheon, the STA is honor to recognize as our Volunteers of the Year .......

Guess you need to come to the conference to find out.

We are pleased to tell eveyone that Verne Orndorff, the pioneer trailbuilder of the Sheltowee Trace is still kicking at age 95. This year the STA has created an award in honor of Verne's service and the first two recipients who display that same dedication to the Sheltowee Trace as Verne had are......

oops guess you need to come to the conference on Saturday to find out.

This years annual meeting was a great success. A big thank you to Traildust(Steve Barbour) and his wife Karen for the hard work they did in planning, organizing and hosting the meeting this year. Truly a job well done. We had several good speakers at this meeting. We had 23 people in attendance for festivies on Friday evening and I believe we had 36 people for the main portion of the meeting on Saturday. The board directors was elected for the 2012 fiscal year and they have elected the officers for FY 2012. We have a busy agenda for this year for the board of directors and it also looks to be a busy year for the association members as well.

We have a goal of performing 1300 to 1400 hours of volunteer work on the Sheltowee Trace in FY 2012 and can really use all the support we can get from the members of the association and anyone else who would like to help.
