My brother and I are planning to hike this section starting Thursday. We will be southbound and plan to end up on Sunday morning at the SP.
Any suggestions on where to camp for the night?
Water availability along this 30+mile route? Any issues?
Any parking issues on either end of this section?
And lastly, how well is the trail marked in this section. I have heard that it can be easy to lose the trail.

I haven't hiked all of this section but you should have water until you get to Tarr Ridge Rd(KY77). From there to the end of your hike I have no idea and I'm not at home to check my thru hikers guide. Camping is for the most part stealth style and leave no trace philosophy. Try to be aware of being on private property and ask permission if possible.

I will be hiking from Tarr Ridge Rd southbound this fall so I am interested in any info others can provided on trail condition etc.

Thanks...I will let you know what we find out...assuming we dont get lost. Am I able to purchase the thru hikers guide at the Morehead Ranger Station...or at Gladie Visitors Center.

The guide isn't available from the FS. You can one through the Sheltowee Trace Association. Send a PM to Traildust on this message board. I'll try find a link to help you get in touch with him. You most likely won't get it in time for this hike but it will be real helpful for any future hikes on the Sheltowee Trace.
