There was storm damage throughout the area last spring. It left many north facing exposers clogged with ice-destroyed trees. Many sections have been cleared, but I guess more remote sections are just left to fester?
We need a straight discussion about trail conditions overall. I've been on sections of the sheltowee near cave run that were mired in knee-deep mud created by excessive horse and atv use.I appreciate moderate use, but overuse of non-human powered machines and beasts destroys the trail for hiking use.
Great hiking trails are the most demanding for maintenance.....rmote singletrack with deadfall. Get the dynamite or get off your butt and help clear it out. Wait are there any trail crews up there?
