That does sound like quite a challenge. I am having trouble reconciling the end points and the distance. Based on the mile marker map the end points are 51+ miles apart. Or am I confused on where the end points are.

End point is downtown Livingston. the plan is for hikers to go past Wildcat and over the hill on the old road into Livingston - Wilderness Road portion, cross the Rockcastle River and then into town.

What is your reference point for the mileage? Trail guide, South Map Set, Google maps?

I got the mileage from the mile marker map on this site. From the mile mark in the middle of the river at cfsp to the mark where the st crosses 25. Unless my math was off.

Sorry I had to pull the plug on this because I just got the permit yesterday which was required before I could move forward. I still believe this is a interesting opportunity but will have to set a new date and start the process over again.

My apologizes.
