Indian Creek
Miles: 12.8
Slow through the blow-downs and brambles. Passed under waterfall at 180 degree turn then a highway crossing and ambling along Railroad Fork and Indian Creek in and out of rock houses and bends along the creeks. Reached paved 700 and descend to torment of blackberries, poison I, trees blown down and requiring climbing over. Now in dark hemlock camp spot with car passing sounds in earshot and barking dogs. Cumberland Lake tomorrow. Now gunshot in the distance. They won't get us though, would have to scramble maze of brush and bush to find us first, seems like no one has been here in years, from the looks of things. Water rushing in the distance and the quieting of human noises interrupted with gunshot, again, ouch.
