Miles: 11.2
Alongside Rock Creek mostly to Mark's Branch and Falls in gigantic rockhouse. Young coyote in the trail, startled, then rushes away panting. Ascended to dry forest road and a waterless camp tonight aside for stagnant water pool below rock cliff and din of mosquitoes. Whippoorwills calling loudly at dusk. Now close to silent and cool night.
