Not sure if this was post already. The Little South Fork Store an Yamacraw Bridge (McCreary Co) has reopened after being closed for many years. Its right at the bridge so its impossible to miss. They have cold drinks , basic camping supplied, and pizza ready to eat.

Visited the folks at the store last week. Things are holding on. Hikers are stopping in and helping by spending some money on ice cream and hot sandwiches. They are trying to stock hiker food, Ramon noodles, tuna packets. Hopefully spam singles and Lipton and Knorr rice and or noodles soon. We encourage your support.

I stopped in the store at Yamacraw and spent some money on my recent thru hike. It was a welcome relief after hiking some overgrown trail. The pizza was good. Very friendly people. Let's hope they stay in business.

Does anyone know if this store made it another year? We'll be passing through on a section next weekend and would be happy to resupply there and spend some money with them. Do they have a phone number? I can't locate one on the Internet and would be interested to find out what they carry (dehydrated meals, etc)

Thanks

We hiked past it last week and it had a sign on it that said it was closed until April.

I passed the yamacraw bridge store April 3 2013 and it was closed with no sign indicating when it would be open. I plan on thru hiking the Trace at the end of July and wanted to know if this store would be open. If anyone passes it in the meantime please let me know if it is open.

My understanding is it is closed again. No solid info on if it will open but maybe Memorial Day to Labor Day is their plan. We will try to find out a status and post it here.

The Facebook link is broken. Is the store open in 2014 under the same or new management?

Closed and no info if it will open. When the government shutdown it killed the limited business they had. Sad but that is the reality.

Stopped by Little So Fork grocery this afternoon.
Lady said hours are M-Sat. 6am-7pm
Also open on Sundays as of right now but I don't remember the hours.
She wasn't sure about winter hours but thought they may close on Sundays.
Seemed to have mostly just snack items but may have also had more trail type items that I didn't just notice. They also make sandwiches, pizza etc and also have hot breakfast.
