My sons and I came back Saturday night from a south to north hike Bandy Creek to Yahoo Falls thorugh Big South Fork via John Muir, Kentucky, and Sheltowee Trails. 2 1/2 days of rain mid week, MANY ticks, a few spider bites, and lots of good times. Will be submitting more details in a couple days. For now however anyone heading out be prepared for literally hundreds of blowdowns along the Kentucky trail. In some areas we didn't travel more than 100 yards before having to straddle or bushwack around massive trail blockages. The ranger said it was a result of high winds and tornadoes over the last couple months.

Sounds like it was an awesome trip. Unfortunate that the Kentucky Trail was difficult traveling. We have had some pretty tough storms in the past month, but now we're dealing with the heat.

Glad your trip worked out.

Cumberland falls area trails are actually closed. We hiked from Pickett up to cumberland falls from may 26th-june 3rd, and the trails were indeed horrendous, especially carrying a large pack. My buddies packs were over weight and thus we ended up having a horrible time dealing with the trees. But yes past US 27 to Cumberland falls was closed down and with good reason, it was horrible.

be safe

Sounds like a way to share your experiences which is more like a reasonable source for making yourself aware of everything that comes around.
So yeah this is the way how it goes and stays decent in the same way it helps in a good manner.
