On the sheltowee map where rd 52 meets 399 it appears there is a shortcut.
This is map http://www.sheltoweetrace.com/maps/20.pdf. If you are coming from the north, right where 52 splits off into 399 there is Spruce rd. That rd looks like it leads to trail until it reconnects with 399 again bypassing a long rd walk.
Has anyone else seen or tried this?? Is it part of the trace or another trail? Will I get lost in a dead end and be forced to turn around?? Any help is appreciated, leavin tomorrow for a thru hike, Thanks.
The link doesnt seem to be working, its the 4th map from the the top of the Menifee-Lee County Section. The link ends with the number 20.pdf _________________ KYkamper- leaving your mark is overated |

I wouldn't try it, since it's mostly private property. These maps are a bit of a historical document and this tile shows the original alignment. It was relocated to the road, unfortunately.
If you want to see the current alignment and match to the topos, look at the google map and a new mile marker map, which is kinda experimental at this point. _________________ Help map trails by submitting your waypoints and trail photos. |

The google map here has the new alignment and I added a new map with mile markers (this is an experimental map and will change). _________________ Help map trails by submitting your waypoints and trail photos. |

Do you have a nonembedded link to the map with mile markers?? It doesn't render on some browsers.
I'm attaching a map of the blazing differences in Bandy as I think they are important enough to warrant conversation or clarification. |
