Teams are completing section 5 the third weekend in May and the first weekend of June. This is a 28+ mile section that begins at New Virginia Rd. and goes to Turkeyfoot Campground.

Backpackers can spend Friday night at Turkeyfoot to avoid the early morning drive or meet the shuttles on Sat am at 0630. It is about an hour drive back to New virginia. or you can camp at Pinecrest on Friday night and we can get you back to there at the end of the hike.

All participants need to register their intentions so we can have enough shuttle support for this leg.
