Thinking about a trip to Divide Road and doing either the Rock Creek, Ledbetter, or the Kentucky Trail around mile 255 in the Big South Fork. A shuttle would be cool.

Or maybe Bear Creek Horse Camp to Split Bow.

Any thoughts?

Are you taking your dog? The weather looks like it's going to be great but I'm a little concerned it may be too cold at night for my short haired boxer. He's got a nice hand-me-down fleece sweater, and a sleeping pad, but no bag or anything like that. How does your dog do in the cold?

Yep. My hound dog wouldn't miss a trip. Last weekend at Pickett State Park, when the nights got down to mid 30's, he was cold, shivered, but didn't seem to care. He rolls up in the tent and especially after a long of hiking, he sleeps the entire night. Plus my tent does a good job of trapping a little heat pocket.
