I do not have photos but I passed that way in May and they are still there. They are typical three sided (open front) shelters about 12 feet by 16 feet. They are rarely used as far as I can tell. There is another just north of Yamacraw too.
I should be going by again next week so I will snap a pic for you if I make it that far. I started at the Northern Term and have made it to the Kentucky river at Heidleburg (sp). Came home to dump data and on my way back out now. _________________ The only thing that will save our trails is using them. |

Thanks for the info, what is the name of the shelters, or where are they located?
Are these the two shelters at bark camp, and star creek? I am going mid Aug and will have photos for anyone interested. |

I stayed at the second shelter last week. We put our tents up next to it. People had left alot of trash there it was pretty bad. But there are a few places that you can camp along the way. _________________ HikingFF |

Yea, that is the two names. Star Creek is closest to the Falls and Bark Camp is the furthest one North. |

Hello,
We found three shelters and a nice picnic awning in case of rain:
34.7 Wood Trail shelter (Yahoo Falls area)
65.3 Star Creek shelter (Cumberland Falls area)
67.9 Bark Creek shelter (Cumberland Falls area)
132.4 South Tree campground picnic shelter
All were in good shape, I thought.
