been surfing the site for over an hour and only seems that one part doesn't allow dogs on the ST[cumberland fallz]. Is this correct? Anyone have any info. Wanting to take my vanilla Lab (bhubba). Thanx - Jon _________________ When your mind travels far, you’re gonna look to the stars

Actually....dogs are allowed on all trails in the daniel boone nf, cumberland falls state park, big south fork, but NOT in natural bridge state resort park. unless you're in backcountry, it's recommended you keep your hounds leashed. _________________ Help map trails by submitting your waypoints and trail photos. |

| I've taken my pup through even natural bridge, they don't really say a lot to you as long as you look fairly responsible. The park officials aren't really worried about backpackers with dogs, they're more worried about the "cooler campers" who come into the park, make a mess and let their dogs tear things up. They know backpackers are more responsible than that. And like Boyd said if in doubt, get the leash out. (I use a 15ft section of 1" webbing with a carabiner, water knots on each end to make a hand loop and a hook loop, works great) |
