Looking to make a thru hike for my 50th birthday and actually hiking from Portsmouth Oh to London Ky. My Grandparents on Moms side from Portsmouth and my Grandparents on Dads side from London. Dad still alive in London, however I only have 2 weeks at the end of August into September. I understand that there are portions that can be driven and remain on the Trail so my question is, is this trip do able?

We have volunteers who might be able to shuttle you around some of the road miles, like the 8 miles around Morehead or around Heidelberg which would save you a day.
